Hello, my name is Samantha Simpson and I'm from Indianapolis! I am a sophomore in ChemE with a minor in Natural Resources and Environmental Science. I joined OXE in Fall of 2025, and I am excited to serve as Alumni Relations Chair for this upcoming semester! Outside of OXE, I enjoy getting involved in the community through volunteering as well as crafts like knitting and crochet!

​Hi! My name is MacKenzie Gower and I'm from Waterloo, Illinios. I am a sophomore in ChE minoring in chemistry. I joined OXE in fall 2025 and I am excited to serve as Brand Management Chair this semester! I love being a part of OXE because I can engage in professional development and grow my network within the chemical engineering community. I'm excited to see what this semester holds!

My name is John Zbihley, I am a Junior and Food Chair for OXE. I am generally very busy around campus, with ongoing research, 3 major clubs I regularly attend, a difficult class list for the major, nuclear engineering study and advocacy, etc., but when I’m not neck deep in engineering, I am often doing some assorted activities with friends around campus. Sometimes it’s bowling, sometimes it’s archery, but whatever it is, I like to make the most of it here at Purdue.

Hi, I’m Lillian Gregory! I'm a Junior in ChemE from South Bend, IN and a current Fundraising & Corporate Sponsorship Co-chair. I'm passionate about sustainable manufacturing and process safety, and have experience with polymers manufacturing. Outside of engineering, I juggle, unicycle (yes, sometimes at the same time), and study German.

Hi! I'm Charles Vicari and I'm a junior from Munster, IN, also pursuing a minor in management. I am excited to serve as Fundraising and Corporate Sponsorship Chair this semester. My favorite OXE memory (so far) was volunteering to run the OXE stations at PESC's Engineering Tomorrow event and helping kids make a huge mess of our oobleck experiment!

I’m Dan Capka, I’m a current Sophomore from Cleveland, OH, also pursuing a minor in Nuclear Engineering! I joined OXE in Fall 2025 and am so excited to bring on the next class of OXE initiates as a Junior Representative this semester. A fun fact about me is that I can picture every tree on my hometown golf course. I am so grateful for the mentors and friends I’ve met through OXE and I cannot wait to see the impact my fellow ChemEs have on each other in OXE and the world of Chemical Engineering!

​I am a Junior from Zionsville, IN and I am minoring in management. I was initiated into OXE in the Fall of 2024 and previously served as the Junior Representative chair last semester. I am excited to continue this semester in that role and lead a new group of initiates! Outside of OXE, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking, and playing soccer. I’m also a huge hockey fan (Go Flyers!).

Hello my name is Grace Beckett and I'm from Harvard, MA! I am a sophomore majoring in chemical engineering and political science with a minor in global engineering studies. I joined OXE in fall 2025, and am excited to serve as outreach chair for spring 2026! I enjoy meeting other chemical engineering students and connecting them with OXE resources. I am excited to support OXE this semester!

​My name is Ava Assante and I am currently a sophomore in chemical engineering with a minor in management. I intend on pursuing a concentration in semiconductors and am also in the process of getting a semiconductor and microelectronics certification from Purdue. I’m from Carmel, Indiana and Northville, Michigan. I joined OXE in Fall 2025 and I now serve as the research chair for Spring 2026. A fun fact about me is that I’m very into sports like basketball, tennis, baseball, football, and occasionally soccer and volleyball. My favorite sports teams are the Detroit Pistons, the Minnesota Twins, and any Purdue team!

​I'm Braden Peacock and I'm a junior. I am a Social Chair and I love being able to plan fun events for members to get together outside of meetings and being able to coordinate our IM teams. I love being outside and doing anything physical like lifting, running, swimming, hiking, etc.... I also have a hobby for solving Rubik's Cubes and my personal best is 24 seconds!

My name is Owen Hoover and I am a junior majoring in ChE, and minoring in music. I am born and raised here in West Lafayette. I joined OXE in the fall of 2024, and am currently a social chair. I'm currently interested in the field of pyrotechnics/fireworks and enjoy bowling and watching Purdue Basketball.

​Hi! My name is Faith Karl, and I'm from Cedar Rapids, Iowa. I'm a senior in ChE with a minor in fermentation science. I joined OXE in Fall 2023 and this is my third semester serving as a tutoring chair. Outside of OXE, I enjoy swing dancing, baking, and running!

Hi! I’m Oliver Li, a Junior from Prospect, KY. I am currently serving as Tutoring Chair for OXE where I can help others enhance their understanding. I am also minoring in History and am a part of the Cosplay Club.

Hey, I’m Timothy Cedarquist. I’m a junior who’s passionate about helping others learn and grow, especially through my role as Tutor Chair. I’m really into fitness and love staying active through weightlifting, running, yoga, and pickleball.  I also serve as a Project Manager for Acacia Fraternity, where I get to take on leadership roles and work on projects that make a real impact. And when I’m not doing any of that, I’m probably out playing Ultimate Frisbee.
