Every Spring, OXE hosts students in 3rd-5th grade on campus and introduces them to elementary topics in chemistry and engineering through hands-on experiments. Each student gets the opportunity to participate in 5 interactive experiments throughout the day and to hear from a Purdue Chemical Engineering Professor. This is OXE’s largest event and has the most member participation for planning and running the event. This is event is free for students and parents and teachers are welcome to attend! Be on the lookout for an online registration form!

Boo at the Zoo is an annual “not-so-scary” Halloween event held at the Columbian Park Zoo in Lafayette. This event includes Halloween games and activities intended for young children and their families along with Halloween themed interaction with the animals!
